WOOL CARE INFO
Piling, Misshapes & Folds
Smooth out surface imperfections, folds, wrinkles, and misshapes effortlessly. Simply use an iron or steamer at a low temperature to restore the surface and bring your product back to like-new condition.
Our wool cushions, placemats, baskets, rugs, slippers, and pet beds may initially experience some pilling due to loose felt fibers on the surface. For easy maintenance, regular vacuuming is usually sufficient. For minor pilling or fluff, we recommend using a fabric shaver or lint roller.
If outdoor dirt gets on the product, let it dry completely before vacuuming for the best results.
Remove Dirt, Dust & Stain
The high fat content of wool (lanolin) and its dense felt structure naturally protect against dirt and liquids. To maintain the quality of your wool products, we recommend hand washing to prevent shrinkage.
- For Dirt Removal: Use a soft brush and natural detergent to gently brush off any residue. Lay the item flat on a towel to dry.
- For Dust: A hand vacuum provides quick and easy cleaning.
- For Stains: Most stains can be removed with a light soak and blotting with a towel. For tougher stains, hand wash with natural detergent and cold water. Use a dry towel to gently press out excess water, then let the item air dry.
- Avoid using a hot dryer, as heat can damage the wool fibers.
Color Care
Our products are made with AZO-free dyes, ensuring they are safe and eco-friendly. Please note that colors may fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. To prevent staining, avoid placing wet wool items on delicate surfaces.
Heat Safety
Wool is naturally fire-resistant, but for optimal safety, avoid exposing it to temperatures above 200-220°C. To protect your wool trivets, refrain from placing greasy cast iron pots directly on them, as the high heat retention of these pots may cause stains.
